About Jetblue Airlines

JetBlue Airways is a major American low-cost carrier and North America's seventh-largest airline by passenger traffic.

Jetblue airline tickets are comparatively cheaper than the rest. Jetblue airline flights represent the budget travel in the US. JetBlue was founded with a large sum of money, brand new planes, and highly qualified personnel in key positions. Customers flocked to it to avoid the major airlines' high fares and frequent delays, and it grew quickly.

Jetblue Airline was founded by David Neeleman. His entrepreneurial journey started with Moris Air and sold it to Southwest Airline in 1993. In 1995, he started a Canadian Airlines known as WestJet Airlines.

At a press conference in mid-July 1999, "Fresh Air" was given a new name: JetBlue Airways. Neeleman's ambitious rallying cry was, "We're trying to bring civilization back to air travel." As if that wasn't enough, JetBlue planned to undercut the fares of other carriers by an average of 65 percent. JetBlue said that its primary goal, like Southwest's, is to stimulate air traffic rather than steal current passengers. Jetblue Airlines flights thus became an instant brand within budget travel.

JetBlue first took to the skies in early 2000, with only two newly leased Airbus A320s. On February 11, it began service between New York and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The one-way advance-sale fare was $79. Six days later, the company began providing a $49 round-trip service to Buffalo.
